KNIGHTS TEMPLAR ON DUTY IN LEICESTER

Freemasons’ Hall Leicester was buzzing with activity on Saturday 20th June 2026, as Brethren, families, and visitors gathered for a brilliant Open Morning showcasing the richness and diversity of the Companion Orders.

The Knights Templar were out in force, proudly representing the Province alongside fifteen other Orders who joined together to demonstrate the breadth of opportunity available to Freemasons. Their presence added colour, tradition, and a real sense of occasion to the event.

One of the highlights of the morning was a superb Knights Templar sword drill, performed with precision and discipline that drew an appreciative crowd. It offered visitors a rare glimpse into the ceremonial splendour of the Order and became a talking point throughout the day.

The magnificent Holmes Lodge Room was open for viewing, giving guests the chance to explore one of Leicester’s most impressive Masonic spaces. Across the building, conversations flowed easily as members, families, and curious visitors engaged with representatives from each Order, learning more about their history, regalia, and the unique experiences they offer.

The Open Morning was a resounding success, a celebration of fellowship, tradition, and the shared commitment of the Orders to support and inspire the wider Masonic community.
